For applications where space isnot restricted, the use of an “Indirect Water Heater” is highly recommended. The Trinity Combiincorporates all thefeatures of the StandardHeating version, plus ExternalCombi Manifold, diverting valve, plate heat exchanger & flowswitch. Note: The installer isrequired to install the ¾” pumpflange (included in Combi kit) ontothe boiler return pipe prior toinstalling the boiler; the bolts mustbe inserted into the flange prior toinstalling the flange.COMBI Sequence ofoperationWhen water flow greater than .5GPM passes through the flowswitch, it closes a contact toterminals A-C on the Sentry 2100controller. The boiler isimmediately energized (if notalready on), the 3-way divertingvalve moves to the domestic hotwater position “A”, and the circulator is energized. Hotwater is circulated through the plate heat exchanger. Theflame is modulated to maintain the “LO” setting on theSentry control. The Sentry uses the boiler thermister toread the temperature of the boiler water. Space heating isnot provided during a call for domestic.S R S R S RCheckValvesNote: See page 14 forlocation of expansiontank and othercomponentsInsert secondaryLoop here.See page15 & 16Primary LoopFor multiple boilersBoiler3Boiler2Boiler1Pump3Pump2Pump1For the state of MassachusettsCombi mustbe field equippedwith 150 PSIrelief valve asshown (notprovided)C HMReliefValveNote: Locations of plumbing connections are notbe as shown, refer to labels on boiler, contact NTIwith any questions.
