This directive seeks to eliminate the toxic substances released during manufacturingprocesses to ensure that disposed of materials do not pose health risks. Considered toxic substances are lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDE). Leadis used together with tin in solder connections to reduce the melting point of solder. Lead-free solder requires highersoldering temperatures which in turn places greater thermal stress on components. The MXTS-8 complies with RoHS directives and uses components that are certified RoHS compliantATTENTION : RISQUE DE CHOC ELECTRIQUE NE PAS OUVRIRAn equilateral triangle enclosing a lightening flash/arrowhead symbol isintended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerousvoltage” within the product’s enclosure which may be of sufficientmagnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. An equilateral triangle enclosing an exclamation point is intended to alertthe user to the presence of important operating and service instructions inthe literature enclosed with this unit.
