Before installing and using your unit, carefully examine the packaging and all contentsfor any signs of physical damage that may have occurred in transit.[Please note: Nady systems is not responsible for shipping damage. If your unit isdamages, do not return to Nady, but notify your dealer and the shipping company (ifshipped to you) to make a claim. Such claims must be made by the consignee in a timelymanner.]CONTENTS• Instruction manual• MXTS-8 (verify unit’s serial number is same as shown on shipping carton)• AC power cordSETTING UP• Place the MXTS-8 powered subwoofer (1) on the floor, ensuring there is adequate ventilation.• The MXTS-8 can either be connected to the MaxTower™ PSS-250 on its own included tripodspeaker stand or the MaxTower™ (2) can be mounted on top of the MXTS-8 with theoptional MTMP-8 mounting pole (3).• If using the optional MTMP-8 mounting pole, insert it into the mounting bracket (4) on top ofthe MXTS-8 subwoofer. Then insert the top end of the pole through the recessed hole at thebottom of the MaxTower™• Plug the supplied AC power cord into the rear panel AC 115V jack (5), then the power cordinto a nearby 115VAC power outlet. The MXTS-8 is also available with the internal powersupply factory adjusted for 230VAC operation. Make sure that the unit is turned off beforeconnecting to the AC power source to avoid possible loud transients that can damage yourspeakers or your ears.• Plug in XLR or ¼” cable from the MaxTower™ output to Line In combo jack (6) of the MXTS-8.• Turn on unit with Power ON/OFF Switch (7) on rear panel. The Power On LED (8) will light.• Use LEVEL (9) knob to adjust subwoofer volume to the desired level so bass is in balance withthe volume of the MaxTower™ PSS-250.• Use CROSSOVER (10) knob to adjust frequency cutoff to desired point between 100Hz and220Hz for optimal sound.
