12W415-0536 / D / 05.18.07The vent system must be supported approximately every 3feet for both vertical and horizontal runs. Use Wolf Steel ventspacers or equivalent every 3 feet and either side of eachelbow to maintain the minimum 1¼” clearance between theouter and inner vent pipes. Use Wolf Steel support ring as-sembly or equivalent noncombustible strapping to maintainthe minimum clearance to combustibles for both vertical andhorizontal runs.All inner exhaust and outer intake vent pipe joistsmay be sealed using either Red RTV high tempsilicone sealant or Black high temp Mill Pac withthe exception of the fireplace exhaust flue collarwhich must be sealed using Mill Pac (not supplied).1. Move the fire-place into position.Measure the ventlength requiredbetween terminaland fireplace tak-ing into accountt h e a d d i t i o n a llength needed forthe finished wallsurface and any1¼” overlaps between venting components.2. Apply high temperature sealant (W573-0007 not pro-vided) to the outer edge of the 4” inner collar of the fireplace.Attach the first vent component and secure using 3 selftapping screws. Repeat using 7” piping.3. Holding the air terminal (with the air deflectors to thetop and the lettering in an upright, readable position) insertthe terminal into both vent pipes with a twisting motion toensure that both the terminal sleeves engage into the ventpipes and sealant. Secure the terminal to the exterior wall andmake weather tight by sealing with caulking (not supplied).1. Install the 4” diameter aluminium flexible liner to thefireplace. Secure with 3 screws and flat washers. Seal thejoint and screw holes using the high temperature sealant(W573-0007 not provided).2. Install the 7” diameter aluminium flexible liner to thefireplace. Follow the instructionsfor “Horizontal Air TerminalInstallations”, items 1 to 3.2. Continue adding com-ponents alternating innerand outer venting. Ensurethat all 4” venting and elbowshave sufficient vent spacersattached and each compo-nent is securely fastened tothe one prior. Attach the 4”telescopic sleeve to the ventrun.Repeat using a 7” telescopic sleeve. Secure and seal asbefore. To facilitate completion, attach 4” and 7” couplers tothe air terminal.3. Install the air terminal. See item 3 of the Horizontal AirTerminal Installation. Extend the 4” telescopic sleeve; con-nect to the air terminal assembly. Fasten with self tappingscrews and seal.
