Press Button 2 UNIQUE.→ The Scene will become independent of any Scenes it was linked to and the Patterns canbe edited without affecting any the original Scenes.13.2.11 Adjustable Scene LengthScenes and Clips obey following rules:By default the length of a Scene is automatically set to the longest Clip used within the Scene(Auto Length), unless the length of the Scene is manually set to a specific bar range (ManualLength).▪ Auto Length: By default, the length of a Scene corresponds to the longest Clip used in theScene. Inserting a new Clip that is longer than the Scene automatically extends the Scene.Removing the longest Clip from the Scene automatically shrinks the Scene. Extending/shrinking the longest Clip automatically extends/shrinks the Scene accordingly.▪ Manual Length: A Scene can be manually adjusted to a set length. This can be shorter orlonger than the Clips contained within the Scene. Inserting or removing Clips from theScene will not alter the length of the Scene, however the length of a Scene can be alteredby dragging the mouse directly in the timeline or by using your MASCHINE controller.▪ If a Clip is shorter than the Scene it is placed in, it is automatically repeated until the endof the Scene (the last repetition might be shortened). These repetitions are automaticallygenerated and cannot be edited. They reference the same Pattern as the original Clipplaced at the beginning of the Scene. Repetitions of a Clip are indicated by darker blocksin the Arranger, and a Truncated Clip marker will appear on the right-hand side of theScene to indicate that a section of the Clip is hidden:▪ If a Scene has been manually shortened, only the visible part of the Clip within the setlength will be audible.Creating a Song Using ScenesManaging ScenesMASCHINE STUDIO - Manual - 781
