22Figure 22. Web Interface for X Y Image ShiftStretch the Image in the Continuous Direction. Stretch the image in the continuous direction byentering a value in the Image Stretch keyin or clicking the Left or Right arrow. Stretching the image canallow for some overspray to ensure proper coverage in full bleed printing. To Stretch an image by about 1%, enter 1 in the Toolbox Image Stretch Keyin. Click the Send button to send and permanently save the change. For a 1% stretch a 3-inch long label stretched an additional 3/100th inch image coverage. However a 30-inch label stretched an additional 1% will have an additional 3/10 inch image coverage. Consider labelsize when entering the stretch. A negative label stretch is usually not needed.Image stretch is also visible in the web interface. As with the image shift, Toolbox only sends values, while the web interface both updates and reads the currently set values. If you view the web interface, you will see that the default Image Stretch is typically set to 0.3%. This is the normal offset and this isthe value that ships with the printer. To access Image Stretch in the web server select Settings->Preferences->Continuous Printing.Use caution when stretching the image. Images should only be stretched slightly to allow for minimaloverspray for full coverage labels. If the image is overstretched, mark detection errors can occur. It isunlikely that there will ever be a need for shrinking the image.
