When thedesired item is displayed, a long press will select that item andswitch to the sub-display (A long indicator sound will be made.)When done, press and hold the button when BACK isdisplayed to return to main menu.During measurement, the display can not be changed.If idle for about 10 sec., display will return to READY .Main Menu-0-CALIBRATION-0- mtouch down!calibrate.....canceled!0.0 mFOILCALIBRATION0-Point calibration Menu Item:In this mode calibration is performed withReference Substrate with no film or coating.Press and hold the button to switch to the 0-PointCalibration screen.0-Point Calibration:Press the probe surface against metalsubstrate with no coating film formeasurement.0-Point calibration result:When the indicator sound is heard, andthis screen is displayed, the 0-PointCalibration is complete.Calibration Canceled:If the probe face is not firmly pressedagainst the surface, or if it is not held longenough, the calibration will abort. Pleaserepeat the 0-Point calibration procedure.2-Point Calibration Menu Item:In this mode calibration is performed withCalibration-foil on top of the Reference Base.Press and hold the button to switch to the 2-PointCalibration screen.1 Calibration Menu300 mtouch down!READY300 m2-Point Calibration:Place as Calibration-foil on top of theReference Base, and press the probeonto surface for measurement.If the Calibration-foil is different from thevalue displayed, cancel the calibrationand adjust the value with FOILADJUST menu (ref. to next page.) (0-Point Calibration is complete)When display reads FOIL CALIBRATION , pressand hold button.2-Point Calibration screen will display.Place Test Film (300 m ) on uncoated surface andpress Probe or measurement.Thickness will vary for different products.For measuring films greater than 300 m, please use aceramic gauge block (sold separately.)Indicator sound will be made (once for ferroussubstrate, twice for non-ferrous) and 300 m willdisplay. (2-Point Calibration is complete)Clean any dirt from Test Film before using. |
