Do not store your camera in locations that:• are poorly ventilated or damp• are next to equipment that produces strong electromagnetic fields, such astelevisions or radios• are exposed to temperatures above 50 °C (122 °F) or below –10 °C (14 °F)• are subject to humidities of over 60%Lens/ViewfinderA key to cleaning these glass parts is to not touch them withyour fingers. Use a blower (typically a small device with arubber bulb attached to one end that you pump to producea stream of air out the other) to remove dust or lint. To re-move fingerprints or other stains that can not be removedwith a blower, wipe the lens or viewfinder with a soft cloth,using a spiral motion that starts in the center of the lens andworks out to the edges.MonitorRemove dust or lint with a blower. To remove fingerprintsand other stains, clean the monitor with a soft, dry cloth,being careful not to apply pressure.Camera BodyUse a blower to remove dust and lint, then wipe gently witha soft, dry cloth. After using the camera at the beach orseaside, wipe off any sand or salt with a cloth lightly damp-ened with fresh water, then dry thoroughly.
