E40Reference SectionC Number of Images That Can Be SavedThe following table lists the approximate number of images that can be saved on a 4 GB memorycard. Note that due to JPEG compression, the number of images that can be saved varies greatlydepending on the composition of the image. In addition, this number varies depending on themake of the memory card, even when the memory cards have the same specified capacity. To confirm the number of images that can be saved in the internal memory (approx. 28 MB), removethe memory card from the camera, and then check the number of remaining exposures displayed inthe monitor when shooting.1 If the number of exposures remaining is 10,000 or more, the number of exposures remainingdisplay shows “9999”.2 Print size at an output resolution of 300 dpi.Print sizes are calculated by dividing the number of pixels by printer resolution (dpi) andmultiplying by 2.54 cm (1 in.). However, at the same image size, images printed at higherresolutions will be printed smaller than the size indicated, and those printed at lower resolutionswill be printed larger than the size indicated.Image mode Memory card 1 (4 GB) Print size2 (cm/in.)Q 4608×3456P 470 39 × 29/15 × 11.5P 4608×3456 860 39 × 29/15 × 11.5R 3264×2448 1710 28 × 21/11 × 8r 2272×1704 3600 19 × 14/7.5 × 5.6q 1600×1200 6900 13 × 10/5.3 × 4O 640×480 28500 5 × 4/2 × 1.5g 4608×2592 1160 39 × 22/15 × 8.5
