63Shooting FeaturesC Number of Images That Can Be SavedThe following table lists the approximate number of images that can be saved in the internalmemory and on a 4 GB memory card. Note that due to JPEG compression, the number of imagesthat can be saved varies greatly depending on the composition of the image. In addition, thisnumber varies depending on the make of the memory card, even when the memory cards have thesame specified capacity.1 If the number of exposures remaining is 10,000 or more, the number of exposures remainingdisplay shows “9999”.2 Print size at an output resolution of 300 dpi.Print sizes are calculated by dividing the number of pixels by printer resolution (dpi) andmultiplying by 2.54 cm (1 in.). However, at the same image size, images printed at higherresolutions will print smaller than the size indicated, and those printed at lower resolutions willprint larger than the size indicated.Image mode Internal memory(approx. 50 MB)Memory card 1(4 GB) Print size2 (cm/in.)Q 4608×3456P 6 490 39 × 29/15 × 11.5P 4608×3456 12 970 39 × 29/15 × 11.5R 3264×2448 24 1910 28 × 21/11 × 8r 2272×1704 48 3820 19 × 14/7.5 × 5.6q 1600×1200 95 7240 13 × 10/5.3 × 4O 640×480 256 27700 5 × 4/2 × 1.5g 4608×2592 16 1290 39 × 22/15 × 8.5
