41Additional Shooting OptionsAdditional Shooting OptionsUsing Exposure ControlTwo types of Exposure modes M (Programmed au-to) and E (Aperture-priority auto) are available. Mand E modes also allow you to control ISO Sensitiv-ity (P.45), white balance (P.46), and the options inthe Shooting menu (P.78).M Programmed AutoFlexible Program• In M mode, different combinations of shutter speeds andapertures can be selected by pressing the multi selectorright (Flexible program). Then, press the multi selector leftto decrease the shutter speed and right to increase theshutter speed. While Flexible program is in effect, theshutter speed and aperture are displayed in yellow (other-wise, they are displayed in white).• When returned to Shooting mode, an asterisk (“*”) appears next to M and the set values of theshutter speed and aperture also appear.• To deactivate Flexible program, press the multi selector left or right until the shutter speed andaperture are displayed in white, or rotate the mode dial to a different setting.
