Use a tripod for thebest results.1 Press the A button in shootingmode to display the shooting-modeselection menu and use the multiselector to select p (Panoramaassist) (A 33).Panorama direction icons (I) are displayedto show the direction in which pictures willbe joined.2 Use the multi selector to choose the directionand press the k button.Select how pictures will be joined together in thecompleted panorama; right (I), left (J), up (K) or down(L).The yellow panorama direction icon (I I) will move tothe direction pressed and press the k button to choosethe direction. A white panorama direction icon (I) will be displayed in the chosendirection.Apply flash mode (A 28), self-timer (A 30), macro mode (A 31) and exposurecompensation (A 32) settings with this step, if necessary.Press the k button again to reselect the direction.3 Take the first picture.One third of the last picture taken will bedisplayed partially transparent.4 Take the next picture.Compose the next picture so that one-third ofthe frame overlaps the previous picture.Repeat until you have taken the necessarynumber of pictures to complete the scene.Panorama assist181818181818EndEnd 171717End
