AE-L icon turns white toshow that white balance and exposuresettings for this picture apply to all pic-tures in series.Panorama AssistFlash mode ( 38), macro close-up mode ( 41), self-timer mode ( 40), and expo-sure compensation ( 42) can be adjusted after the pan direction is selected. Once thefi rst shot in each series is taken, the pan direction, zoom, flash mode, macro close-upmode, exposure compensation, and image mode ( 65) can not be adjusted nor pic-tures deleted until the series is complete.Storage Locations for PanoramasEach series of pictures taken at Panorama assist is stored in a separate folder with aname consisting of “P_” preceded by a three-digit folder number and followed by athree-digit sequence number (e.g., “101P_002”).Use a TripodUsing a tripod makes it easier to compose overlapping shots.* Other modes can be selected until first shot in each series is taken.† Center focus area selected automatically.Taking Pictures for a Panorama1 Select (Panorama assist)in scene menu as describedin steps 1–4 of “Scene Mode”( 32).7Take next shot.
