The noise of the shutter is still audible.L SilentThe mirror remains up and the shutter stays open during liveview photography for less noise than Quiet mode; L isdisplayed in the monitor. While the shutter-release button ispressed, the camera will take up to five seconds of JPEGphotos at about 12 fps in continuous low-speed releasemode, or at about 24 fps in continuous high-speed releasemode; the time remaining is shown in the frame-countdisplay. In other release modes, one photo will be takeneach time the shutter-release button is pressed. ISOsensitivity is set automatically except in exposure mode h,when you can choose from values between ISO 200 and Hi 4(0 117). Exposure can be previewed in the monitor 0 50);to view or hide an indicator (0 130) showing the differencebetween the selected by the camera and the value you haveselected, press J.A Silent ModeIn silent mode, the flash will not fire, Active D-Lighting (0 184), HDR(0 186), vignette control (0 300), distortion control (0 301), multipleexposure (0 210), and high ISO noise reduction (0 302) turn off, andimage quality is fixed at JPEG fine.
