Place your thumb near thedial at the top right on the back of the camera. The index finger on your right hand isused to push the shutter release button, turn the camera on and off, and use nearbybuttons.To best support the camera place your left hand, palm up, against the bottom of thecamera. Let your left hand support some of the weight of the camera and lens. Haveyour fingers reaching out in front of the camera, under the lens. Use your fingers tomake adjustments to the lens such as zooming and manual focusing.COMPOSING AND FOCUSING● Look through the viewfinder to compose your picture. Use your left orright eye, whichever is more comfortable.● If you’re using a zoom lens, turn the zoom ring to make your subject big-ger or smaller in the viewfinder.● Place your subject in the middle of the viewfinder.● Press the shutter release button down halfway. This activates autofocusand the subject in the middle should now appear sharp.● Press the shutter release button down the rest of the way to take thepicture.REVIEWINGYour photo will appear on the back of the camera right after you take the picture. Ifthe monitor on the back goes dark, just press the button to bring the picturesback. You can look at other photos you’ve taken by pressing left or right on the multiselector.
