31Basic OperationFor self-timer operation, x 82.For remote control operation, x 171.Focus TrackingWhen the focus mode selector is set to Single Servo AF (S) (x 48) or ContinuousServo AF (C) (x 48) and the shutter release button is lightly pressed or the AF Startbutton (x 49) is continuously pressed, the camera will automatically switch to FocusTracking when a moving subject is detected. Focus Tracking enables the camera toanalyze the speed of the moving subject based on the focus detection data. It alsoobtains the correct focus by anticipating the subject’s position—then driving the lensto that position—at the exact moment of exposure.• In Single Servo AF, Focus Tracking is activated with a subject that has been movingin advance to the focus detection, and focus is locked when the subject stopsmoving and / appears in the viewfinder.• In Continuous Servo AF, the camera continues to track a subject (even a subjectthat began moving during focus detection) and focus is not locked.Imprinting/recording shooting dataWith the F6, date, shutter speed, aperture and lens focal length can be imprinted inthe frame, between the frames or before the first frame on the film roll. (The datathat can be imprinted differs with the position on the film.) The shooting data is alsorecorded in the camera‘s built-in memory. For details on data imprinting, see page126. For details on recording data, see page 112.CSM b1: Shutter speed and aperture can be changed to display settings insteps of 1/2 or one EV (x 97).
