47•Rewinding film using the film rewind crank1 Turn the power switch on, open the R1button cover and press the R1 „ button.2 Lift the film rewind crank and turn in thedirection of the arrow.• Turn the film rewind crank a few times moreafter the tension is gone.• Film is completely rewound when the framecounter shows a blinking E in the top LCDpanel and viewfinder, and “REWINDCOMPLETED” is displayed in the rear LCDpanel. (E appears without blinking in the topLCD panel, and viewfinder indication and“REWIND COMPLETED” display in the rear LCDpanel disappear when the exposure meter isoff.) Open the camera back and remove thefilm cartridge.Cautions on manual rewind• Do not press the shutter release button until the film leader is rewound completelyback into the cartridge. Doing so could damage the shutter curtain.Film rewind R1 button• If you accidentally press the R1 button during shooting, press the shutter releasebutton. This returns the R1 button to its original position. (The shutter will not openand film is advanced one frame without advancing the frame counter.)Frame counter• The frame counter counts backward when film is rewound manually but the displaymay not indicate the correct frame number.Detailed Operation
