1122 Procedures for close-up flash operation (using cords)1 Turn on the camera and SU-800.After turning on the camera, press the [ON/OFF]button on the SU-800 to turn on the SU-800 andSB-R200.• The red ready-lights on the SU-800 and SB-R200come on when fully recycled.• Make sure that Close-up mode and Using cordsindicators appear on the LCD panel.2 Setting the flash mode on the SU-800Press the [MODE] button on the SU-800 to set theflash mode to TTL BL, TTL or M.3 Activating or canceling the SB-R200’s flash firingPress the [A B] select button to set the remoteflash units in Group A or B to fire or to cancel.• A remote flash unit on the left as viewed from theSU-800’s LCD panel is assigned to Group A, and aflash unit on the right is assigned to Group B.• A flash canceled group indicator disappears.• You cannot cancel flash firing for both Groups A and B.4 Setting the flash output level compensation (in TTLBL or TTL mode)Press the [SEL](FUNC.), or [] or [] button todisplay the flash output level compensation value(blinking). Press the [] or [] button to increaseor decrease the compensation value. Press the[SEL](FUNC.) button once again and the value willstop blinking. The last value to blink is the one thathas been set automatically.• The same value is set for both groups A and B.• Flash output level compensation values can be set in1/3 step increments or decrements from +3.0 to -3.0 EV.• The values are displayed in decimal format, like 0.3 for1/3, and 0.7 for 2/3.• Pressing the [] or [] button continuously increasesor decreases the value quickly.• The compensation value blinks during adjustment andstops after blinking six times unless an adjustment ismade.
