ENGLISH USER MANUAL12 FLOORTEC 560 P 146 2592 000(1)2005-03 ASKIRT HEIGHT AND OPERATION CHECK1. Drive the machine on a level and adequate ground tocheck the skirt height.2. Activate the pedal brake (25, Fig. C) (if present).3. Remove the key (2, Fig. B) from the machine on/offswitch.Side skirt check4. Check the side skirt (12 and 13, Fig C) integrity.Replace the skirts when they have cuts (1, Fig. N)larger than 20 mm or cracks (2) larger than 10 mm(for skirt replacement, refer to the Service Manual).5. Check that side skirt (13 e 14, Fig. C) height from theground is within 0 – 3 mm (see figure O). If necessary,adjust the skirt height, proceeding as follows:Left skirt:– Open the hood, loosen the knob (3, Fig. E) andremove the broom left cover (1, Fig. F), pushingoutwards to disengage the retainers (2).– Adjust the skirt (3, Fig. F) height using its slots (4).– Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly.Right skirt:– Remove the main broom, as described in therelated paragraph.– Remove the belt (17, Fig. U) from the pulley (21);to facilitate the operation, make the pulley (21)rotate operating on the fan (24).– Remove the screws (24, Fig. C) and the rightcover (23) together with the belt (17, Fig. U).– On the machine, adjust the skirt (1, Fig. S) heightby using its slots (2).– Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly.Front and rear skirt check6. Remove the main broom, as described in the relatedparagraph.7. Check the front (1, Fig. R) and rear (2) skirts forintegrity.8. Replace the skirts when they have cuts (1, Fig. N)larger than 20 mm or cracks (2) larger than 10 mm(for skirt replacement, refer to the Service Manual).9. Check that:– the front skirt (1, Fig. R) lightly touches the groundand that, however, it is not detached from ground(as shown in figure P);– The rear skirt (2, Fig. R) height from ground iswithin 0 – 3 mm. (As in Fig. O)10. If necessary, adjust the skirt height by using the slots(3, Fig. R).11. Activate the front skirt lifting lever (31, Fig. C) andcheck that the front skirt (1, Fig. R) rotates upward of90° (as shown in figure); release the lever and checkthat the skirt returns to the initial position and does notstay in an intermediate one. If necessary, for the frontskirt control cable adjustment or replacement, refer tothe Service Manual.12. Install in the reverse order of removal.HOOD SAFETY SWITCH OPERATIONCHECKThe petrol engine running, lift the hood (5, Fig. C) slightlyand check that the petrol engine stops immediately.If raising the hood (5, Fig. C) does not cause the engine tostop, contact an authorised Service Center or Retailer.
