After about 5 seconds the engine runs, disengage theair lever (starter) (1, Fig. W) without lifting the hood (5,Fig. C) but introducing the hand in the compartment(29, Fig. C).8. Deactivate the pedal brake (25, Fig. C) (optional).9. Lower the side broom (8, Fig. C), disengage thehandle (10) from its retainer (11) and lower the handle(without turning it).10. Pull the selector lever (3, Fig. C) with care until themachine starts to move.11. The speed is proportional to the pressure applied tothe selector lever (3, Fig. C).Stopping the machine1. Release the selector lever (3, Fig. C) completely tostop the machine.2. To the side broom (8, Fig. C) rotation, lift the handle(10, Fig. C) (without turning it) and engage its retainer(11).3. To stop the main broom (9, Fig. C) rotation and thesuction valve (24, Fig. U) operation, turn the on/offkey switch (2, Fig. B) in the “0” position.4. Then, close the petrol tap (1, Fig. V) in itscompartment (29, Fig. C).MACHINE OPERATION1. Avoid stopping for a long time with the machine in thesame position and the brooms rotating: this couldcreate unwanted marks on the floor.2. To collect light and bulky waste materials, lift the frontskirt by pulling the lever (31, Fig. C); do not keeppushing onto the lever for a long time in order not toreduce the suction capability of the machine).3. For the machine to sweep properly the dust filter mustbe as clean as possible. To clean the filter whilesweeping, activate the filter-shaker proceeding asfollows:– Pull the handle (19, Fig. C) outward up to the endof stroke, then release it: the interior return springstrikes the dust filter frame and shakes it.– While working, repeat the operation every 10minutes on average (depending on the dustinessof the area to be cleaned).The hopper (16, Fig. C) should be emptied after eachworking period and whenever is full.EMPTYING THE HOPPER1. Release the selector lever (3, Fig. C) to stop themachine.2. Turn the on/off key switch (2, Fig. B) in the 0 position.3. Activate the filter-shaker by means of the handle (19,Fig. C).4. Disengage the hook (17, Fig. C) by pulling its inferiorend.5. By means of the handle (18, Fig. C) pull out thehopper (16) and empty it in the specific container.6. Take back the hopper to its normal position andengage the hook (17).7. Restart the engine.The machine is ready to start working again.NOTEThe side broom (8, Fig. C) can be lowered andlifted also when the engine is running.NOTEWhen the dust filter is obstructed and/or thehopper is full, the machine cannot collect dustand debris anymore.CAUTION!To avoid damaging the dust filter do notwork on wet grounds.NOTEWhen the hopper is full the machine cannotcollect dust and debris anymore.CAUTION!The petrol engine has a warning system toprevent damages to the engine provokedby an insufficient quantity of oil in thecarter. Before the carter oil level goesbelow the safety limit, the oil warningsystem automatically stops the engine.
