ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE24 33015498(3)2008-02 RS 501HOPPER, FILTER AND SUCTION HOSE CLEANING, AND GASKET CHECKWARNING!Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressedair or water gun.Preliminary operationsEmpty the hopper (12, Fig. G), drive the machine to a cleaning/washing appointed area, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig.E).Lift and dump the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraphs.Install the raised hopper safety pins (8, Fig. F).Hopper cleaning (after every use)Clean the hopper (2, Fig. O) with pressurized water (1).Carefully check the suction sealing gasket (3) for integrity, and replace it if necessary.Suction pipe cleaning (after every use)Thoroughly clean the suction pipe (27, Fig. F) inside, up to the suction inlet, with pressurized water.Carefully check the suction pipe gasket (31, Fig. F) for integrity, and replace it if necessary.Suction ilter cleaning (after every use)Inside the hopper, remove the suction ilter fastener (1, Fig. P).Remove the screen (2).Clean the delector (3, Fig. P) and the fan (4) with pressurized water. Check that all fan sectors (5) are clean.Clean the screen (2, Fig. Q) with pressurized water (1).Install the screen (2, Fig. P) and secure it with the retainer (1).Remove the safety pins (8, Fig. F) and lower the hopper (12, Fig. G) according to the instructions shown in the relevantparagraph.Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.Air exhaust ilter cleaning (after every use)With a ladder and the help of an assistant, disengage the fasteners (29, Fig. G) of the air exhaust ilter hood (28).Open the hood (1, Fig. R) and install the safety pins (2).Remove the mounting screws (1, Fig. S), then remove the air exhaust ilter (2).Clean the air exhaust ilter (2, Fig. T) with pressurized water (1).Install the air exhaust ilter and its hood performing steps from 15 to 17 in reverse order.DUST CONTROL SYSTEM NOZZLE AND FILTER CLEANINGWARNING!Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressedair or water gun.Preliminary operationsEngage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).Turn the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.Cleaning of nozzle and ilter in the rear suction pipeRemove the screw (1, Fig. U) together with the nozzle (2) and the ilter (3).Remove the nozzle (2, Fig. U) and the screw (1), then remove the ilter (3).Clean the nozzle (1, Fig. V) and ilter (3) with compressed air. Remove calcium deposits. If necessary, replace the ilter (3).Install the ilter, the nozzle and the screw in the reverse order of removal.Cleaning of nozzles and ilters on broomsUnscrew the ring nuts (1, Fig. V).Clean the nozzles (2, Fig. V) and ilters (3) with compressed air. Remove calcium deposits. If necessary, replace the ilters (3).Install the ilters and nozzles, and secure them with the ring nuts.
