This includes informationabout technical characteristics, operation, machineinactivity, maintenance, spare parts and safety conditions.Before carrying out any procedure on the machine, theOperators and qualified Technicians must read thismanual carefully. Contact the Manufacturer in case ofdoubts regarding the interpretation of the instructions andfor any further information.TARGETThis manual is intended for the Operator and theTechnicians qualified for the machine maintenance.The Operators must not carry out operations reserved forqualified Technicians. The Manufacturer will not beanswerable for damages coming from thenon-observance of this prohibition.HOW TO KEEP THIS MANUALThe Instructions for Use must be kept near the machine,inside an adequate case, far from liquids and othersubstances that can cause damage to it.IDENTIFICATION DATAThe machine model and serial number can be found on aplate (28, Fig. B) affixed to the machine steering columnand readable from outside. The machine production yearis shown after the date Code on the serial plate (A04means January 2004).This information is useful when requiring machinereplacement parts. Use the following table to write downthe machine identification data for any further reference.OTHER REFERENCE MANUALS– Spare Parts List (supplied with the machine).– Service Manual (that can be consulted at anyNilfisk-Advance Service Center).SPARE PARTS AND MAINTENANCEAll necessary operating, maintenance and repairprocedures must be carried out by qualified personnel orby Nilfisk-Advance Service Centers. Only original spareparts and accessories must be used.Call Nilfisk-Advance for service or to order spare parts andaccessories, specifying the machine model and serialnumber.CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTSOur Company constantly improves its products andreserves the right to make changes and improvements atits discretion without being obliged to apply such benefitsto the machines that were sold previously.Any modifications and/or addition of accessory must beapproved and performed by the Manufacturer.SAFETYThe following symbols indicate potentially dangeroussituations. Always read this information carefully and takethe necessary precautions to protect people and objects.The machine Operator's cooperation is essential in orderto prevent injury. No accident prevention program iseffective without the total cooperation of the personresponsible for the machine operation. Most of theaccidents that may occur in a factory, while working ormoving around, are caused by failure to comply with thesimplest rules for exercising prudence.
