To connect to an internet call service, your device must bein the coverage of a connection network, such as a WLANaccess point.Your device supports voice calls over the internet (netcalls). Your device attempts emergency calls primarilyover cellular networks. If an emergency call using cellularnetworks is not successful, your device attempts anemergency call through your net call provider. Due to theestablished nature of cellular telephony, you should usecellular networks for emergency calls, if possible. If youhave cellular network coverage available, make sure thatyour cellular phone is switched on and ready to make callsbefore you attempt an emergency call. The capability foran emergency call using internet telephony depends onthe availability of a WLAN network and your net callprovider's implementation of emergency call capabilities.Contact your net call provider to check the internettelephony emergency call capability.Create an internet call profileBefore you can make internet calls, you must create aninternet call profile.1. Press , select Tools > Settings > Connection >SIP settings > Options > New SIP profile, andenter the required information. Ensure thatRegistration is set to Always on. Contact yourinternet call provider for the correct settings.2. Select Proxy server > Transport type > Auto.3. Select Back until you return to the main view ofconnection settings.4. Select Internet tel. > Options > New profile. Entera name for the profile, and select the SIP profile youjust created.To use the created profile for connecting to the internetcall service automatically, press , and select Tools >Connectivity > Internet tel. > Preferred profile.To log in to the internet call service manually, selectRegistration > When needed, and Transport type >UDP or TCP in the SIP settings when creating an internetcall profile.Connect to the internet call serviceTo make or receive an internet call, your device must beconnected to an internet call service. If you have selectedautomatic login, your device automatically connects tothe internet call service.
