Use activation keysDigital rights management (DRM) protected contentcomes with an associated activation key that definesyour rights to use the content.If your device has OMA DRM-protected content, to backup both the activation keys and the content, use thebackup feature of Nokia PC Suite.If your device has WMDRM-protected content, both theactivation keys and the content will be lost if the devicememory is formatted. You may also lose the activationkeys and the content if the files on your device getcorrupted. Losing the activation keys or the contentmay limit your ability to use the same content on yourdevice again. For more information, contact yourservice provider.Some activation keys may be connected to a specificSIM card, and the protected content can be accessedonly if the SIM card is inserted in the device.To view your activation keys by type, select Validkeys, Invalid keys, or Not in use.To view the key details, select Options > Keydetails.The following details are displayed for each media file:• Status — The status is Activation key is valid,Activation key expired, or Activation key not yetvalid.• Content sending — Allowed means that you cansend the file to another device. Not allowed meansthat you cannot send the file to another device.• Content in phone — Yes means that the file is inthe device and the path of the file is displayed. Nomeans that the related file is not currently in thedevice.To activate a key, go to the Activation keys main view,and select Invalid keys > Options > Get activationkey. Establish a network connection at the prompt, andyou are directed to a web site where you can purchaserights to the media.To remove file rights, open the valid keys tab or thekeys not in use tab, scroll to the desired file, and selectOptions > Delete. If there are several rights relatedto the same media file, all the rights are deleted.The group key view displays all of the files related to agroup right. If you have downloaded multiple mediafiles with the same rights, they are all displayed in thisview. You can open the group view from either the validkeys or invalid keys tabs. To access these files, open thegroup rights folder.Data synchronisationSelect Menu > Tools > Sync.With Sync, you can synchronise your contacts, calendarentries, or notes with corresponding applications on acompatible computer or remote internet server. Yoursynchronisation settings are saved in asynchronisation profile. The Sync application usesSyncML technology for remote synchronisation.
