You mayalso be able to use the minibrowser e-mail feature to send text messages tophones in other networks.Important: When sending SMSmessages, your phone maydisplay Message sent (whereservice is available). This is anindication that the message hasbeen sent by your phone to theSMS network. This is not anindication that the message hasbeen received at the intendeddestination. For more detailsabout SMS services, check withyour service provider.Note: This function can be usedonly if it is supported by serviceprovider. Only devices that offercompatible e-mail features canreceive and display messages. Itmay require a separatesubscription.• WRITE A TEXT MESSAGEYou can use the Messages menu tocreate and send text messages to anothermobile phone in your network, or toanother mobile phone in anothernetwork, or to an e-mail recipient. Youcan also save a draft of your message inthe Outbox folder for later use.Create and send a text messageImportant: Use this methodwhen sending a message torecipients in the same wirelessnetwork. If the recipient has adifferent service provider, youmay need to send the message asan e-mail (see “Create and sendan e-mail message” on page 41).1 From the Start screen, press Menu,then press Select.2 Select Text messages, then selectCreate message.3 Select either Text (up to 160characters) or Numeric page(message consists of phone numberonly).Note: The ability to send anumerical page may bedependent on your wirelessnetwork.
