33If you make a mistake when locking or unlocking thephone, the messageCODE ERROR will be displayed.In this instance, start again from the beginning.On entering the correct lock code:– When locking the phone, the messageLOCKED willbe displayed, and will remain to remind you that thephone is locked.– When unlocking the phone, the messageUNLOCKED will appear briefly.For other options, which provide more-selectiverestrictions, you may use the Call Barring function(Menu 14), page 41, or the Memory lock function(Menu 15), page 42.System Select (Menu 1)Each cellular service area can have two cellularservice suppliers, called carriers. One carrier operatesthe ‘A’ system, and the other carrier operates the ‘B’system (these systems are generally known as‘non-wireline’ and ‘wireline’, respectively). Your phoneis designed to work with both carriers.This menu function allows you to program your phonefor optimum operation when in your home servicearea or when away from your home area (this is calledroaming).
