The Nokia 32 terminal operates in the GSM 900 andGSM 1800 networks.The Nokia 32 terminal connects a company telephone switch (PBX; Private BranchExchange) to a GSM network. This allows the company to bypass the fixedtelephone network when calling GSM numbers. The Nokia 32 terminal works alsoas a backup in cases when the fixed telephone line is down.The Nokia 32 terminal provides telecommunication services in premises wherelandline connection is not available. Phone calls and faxes are routed via the GSMnetwork, and the Nokia 32 terminal works as a substitute for a fixed telephoneline.With the Nokia 32 terminal it is possible to make data calls using a compatible PC.The Nokia 32 terminal works as a GSM modem, allowing the user to browse theInternet and send PC faxes, for example. The Nokia 32 terminal also supportsconnection for an analog fax machine. Connecting a fax machine to the trunkconnector of the terminal enables using fax machines in the GSM environment.Installing and using the Nokia 32 terminal is easy. For making calls with a normallandline telephone, just insert the SIM card, connect the handset to the Nokia 32terminal, connect the power supply, and start making calls. In most cases of PBXinstallations, some configuration of the PBX is needed for proper routing of thetelephone calls.
