Toselect whether the active standby is shown, select Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Standby mode > Activestandby > On or Off.To access active standby applications, scroll up or down, then scroll to the application, and select it. In theactive standby mode the default applications are shown across the top of the display, and calendar, to-do, andplayer events are listed below. To select an application or event, scroll to it, and press the joystick.Standby mode joystick shortcutsBy default, the phone is in the active standby mode, and the joystick shortcuts available in standby modecannot be used. You have to disable active standby to use the following shortcuts.To open Contacts, scroll up or down, or press the joystick.To open Calendar, scroll right.To write a text message, scroll left.To change the joystick application shortcuts:1.
