Not all the features described here areavailable in all wireless network systems.• IN-CALL OPTIONSYour phone allows you to use a number of features during a call. These features areknown as in-call options. To access an option during a call, select Options and oneof the following:Lock keypad—Activate keyguard [see “Lock the keypad (keyguard)” on page 42].Record—Record sounds with your phone and listen to them later.Equalizer—Customize the audio properties of your phone.New call—Make a new call while in a call.Touch tones—Manually enter a touch tone string (series of tones) or search for astring in your phone.End all calls—End all active calls.Contacts—Use the contact list. Once you open the contact list, pressing End willnot close the contact list, but it will end the current call.Menu—Go to the main menus.Mute or Unmute—Mute or unmute the phone microphone.The above options can affect the microphones of any enhancements connected tothe phone.Note: Many in-call options are network service features. To use these options,you must contact your service provider.• CALL WAITINGIf you have call waiting, your phone beeps during a call to let you know that someoneelse is calling you. Depending on your caller ID setup, the phone might also showthe number of the incoming call.Call waiting is not available in all wireless systems. Before you can use call waiting,you must contact your service provider to make sure this feature is available andturned on for your phone. Then you must activate the call waiting feature.Store the call waiting feature code1 From the menus, select Settings > Network services > Network feature setting.2 At the Feature code prompt, enter the feature code from your service providerand select OK.3 Select Call waiting > Activate.
