11Entering letters and numbersCursorThe cursor is a blinking vertical line that appears on thescreen when you are entering text or numbers. Charactersyou enter appear to the right of the cursor. Pressing thekey deletes the character to the left of the cursor. Use thescroll keys to move the cursor to the right or left .ABC modeWhen your phone is ready for you to enter text, such as aname or message, it switches to ABC mode. The iconshows that it is in ABC mode.When is displayed, you can enter these characters bypressing the indicated key repeatedly:Changing letter casePress the key to switch between upper- and lower-caseletters.
