45About the InboxThe Inbox holds text messages that have not been deleted orsaved. Use Menu 2 1 1 to access the Inbox at any time.You will see a list of message headers. The icon in frontof the header indicates that a message has been read. Theicon indicates that a message has not been read. Scrollto the desired message, then press Read.About the Saved folderThe Saved folder holds up to 30 saved text messages.Use Menu 2 1 2 to access the Saved folder and read savedmessages.Storage of incoming messagesWhen you have an incoming text message and your phone’smemory is full, one or more low-priority messages, whichhave been read, will automatically be deleted in order toreceive the new text message. Messages are usually deletedfrom your Inbox, but an emergency message may causemessages to be deleted from the Saved folder.If the message memory is still full, your phone will displayNo space: message waiting. You can clear this notificationby pressing OK. You should delete one or more old messagesto make room for the new message. The network willre-send the message at a later time.Erasing all text messagesUse Menu 2 1 5 to access the Erase all option for Textmessages. Erase all allows you to permanently erase allmessages from one of the following categories:All read Erases all read messages in the inboxAll in inbox Erases all messages in the inboxAll saved Erases all messages stored in the Saved folderAll in outbox Erases all messages in the outbox (5120i only)
