Personal JavaTM applicationscannot be installed on your device.• Other applications and software suitable for theSymbian operating system. The installation files havethe .sis or .sisx extension. Only install softwarespecifically designed for your device.Important: Only install and use applications andother software from trusted sources, such asapplications that are Symbian Signed or havepassed the Java VerifiedTM testing.Important: Even if the use of certificates makesthe risks involved in remote connections andsoftware installation considerably smaller, theymust be used correctly in order to benefit fromincreased security. The existence of a certificatedoes not offer any protection by itself; thecertificate manager must contain correct,authentic, or trusted certificates for increasedsecurity to be available. Certificates have arestricted lifetime. If "Expired certificate" or"Certificate not valid yet" is shown, even if thecertificate should be valid, check that the currentdate and time in your device are correct.Before changing any certificate settings, you mustmake sure that you really trust the owner of thecertificate and that the certificate really belongsto the listed owner.Installation files may be transferred to your device from acompatible computer, downloaded during browsing, orsent to you in a multimedia message, as an e-mailattachment or by using Bluetooth technology. You can useNokia Application Installer in Nokia PC Suite to install anapplication to your device or a memory card.To find installed applications, select > Applications >My own. My own is the default folder for installedapplications. However, applications may also be installedin the Internet or Games folders.To open App. manager, select > Settings >Data mgr. > App. mgr..
