To close the view, select .Offline profileTo activate the Offline profile, press the power key briefly,and select Offline.The Offline profile lets you use the device withoutconnecting to the wireless network. When you activatethe Offline profile, the connection to the wireless networkis turned off, as indicated by in the signal strengthindicator area. All wireless RF signals to and from thedevice are prevented. If you try to send messages, theyare placed in the Outbox folder to be sent later.When the Offline profile is active, you can use your devicewithout a SIM card.If the SIM card is not properly in place, the device starts inthe Offline profile.Important: In the Offline profile you cannot makeor receive any calls, or use other features that requirecellular network coverage. Calls may still be possible tothe official emergency number programmed into yourdevice. To make calls, you must first activate the phonefunction by changing profiles. If the device has beenlocked, enter the lock code.When you have activated the offline profile, you can stilluse the wireless LAN, for example, to read your e-mail orbrowse on the internet. Remember to comply with anyapplicable safety requirements when establishing andusing a wireless LAN connection. You can also useBluetooth connectivity while in the offline profile.To switch to another profile, press the power key briefly,and select another profile. The device re-enables wirelesstransmissions (providing there is sufficient signalstrength).Sensor settings and displayrotationWhen you activate the sensors in your device, you cancontrol certain functions by turning the device.Select Menu > Settings and Phone > Sensorsettings.Select from the following:● Sensors — Activate the sensors.● Turning control — Select Silencing calls andSnoozing alarms to mute calls and snooze alarms byturning your device so that the display faces down.Select Auto-rotate display to rotate the displaycontent automatically when you turn the device on itsleft side or back to a vertical position. Someapplications and features may not support rotating thedisplay content.HeadsetYou can connect a compatible headset or compatibleheadphones to your device.
