Edit memory cardSelect Menu > Applications > File mgr..These options are available only if a compatible memory cardis inserted in the device.Select Options and from the following:● Memory card options — Rename or format a memorycard.● Memory card password — Password protect a memorycard.● Unlock memory card — Unlock a memory card.Back up files on a memory cardSelect Menu > Applications > File mgr..To back up files, select the file types you want to back up ona memory card and Options > Back up now. Ensure thatyour memory card has enough free memory for the files thatyou have chosen to back up.Application managerWith Application manager, you can see the softwarepackages installed in your device. You can view details ofinstalled applications, remove applications, and defineinstallation settings.You can install two types of applications and software to yourdevice:● JME applications based on Java™ technology with the .jador .jar file extensions● Other applications and software suitable for the Symbianoperating system with the .sis or .sisx file extensionsOnly install software that is compatible with your device.Install applicationsYou can transfer installation files to your device from acompatible computer, download them during browsing, orreceive them in a multimedia message, as an e-mailattachment, or using other connectivity methods, such asBluetooth connectivity.You can use Nokia Application Installer in Nokia Ovi Suite toinstall an application to your device.Icons in Application manager indicate the following:SIS or SISX applicationJava applicationwidgetsapplication installed in the memory cardImportant: Only install and use applications and othersoftware from trusted sources, such as applications that areSymbian Signed or have passed the Java Verified testing.Before installation, note the following:● To view the application type, version number, and thesupplier or manufacturer of the application, selectOptions > View details.Other applications© 2008 Nokia.
