Messages (Menu 1)If you have subscribed to amessaging service through yourwireless provider, you can send andreceive text messages to compatiblephones that also subscribe to acompatible message service. Youmay also be able to attach and sendpredefined images from theTemplates folder.Composed messages can be up to160 characters in length. Usingspecial (Unicode) characters take upmore space. If there are specialcharacters in your message, theindicator may not show the messagelength correctly. Before the messageis sent, the phone tells you if themessage exceeds the maximumlength allowed for one message. Tocancel sending, press Cancel, or savethe message in the inbox.Note: When sendingmessages, your device maydisplay Message sent. This isan indication that themessage has been sent byyour device to the messagecenter number programmedinto your device. In the standby mode, select Menu> Messages > Text messages >Create message > Add number orAdd e-mail.To go quickly to the Createmessage display, scroll left fromthe start screen.2.
