Profiles (Menu 3)Profiles define how your phonereacts when you receive a call ormessage, how your keypad soundswhen you press a key, and more.Ringing options, keypad tones, andother settings for each of theavailable profiles can be left at theirdefault setting, or personalised tosuit your needs. The followingprofiles are available: General,Silent, Meeting, Outdoor, and Pager.Profiles are also available forenhancements such as a headsetand car kit. See Enhancementsettings, 38 for more informationabout enhancement profiles.■ Activate1. In the standby mode, select Menu> Profiles.2. Scroll to the profile of yourchoice, and press Select.3. Select Activate.■ Personalise a profileYou can personalise any of theprofiles a variety of ways.1. In the standby mode, select Menu> Profiles.2. Select the profile you wish topersonalise.3. Select Personalise.4. Select the option you want topersonalise (Incoming call alert,Ringing tone, Ringing volume,Vibrating alert, Message alerttone, Keypad tones, Warningtones, Alert for, or Profile name).Note: You cannot rename theGeneral profile.■ Set a timed profileTimed profiles can be used toprevent missed calls. For example,suppose you attend an event thatrequires your phone be set to Silentbefore the event starts, but youforget to return it to General untillong after the event. A timed profilecan prevent missed calls byreturning your phone to the defaultprofile at a time you specify.Note: Timed profiles can beset up to 24 hours inadvance.1. In the standby mode, select Menu> Profiles.2. Select the profile you wish toactivate and set for timedexpiration.3. Select Timed.4. Enter the time for the profile toexpire, and press OK.
