The name and contents of the menudepend on the SIM card.For availability and information on using SIM card services, contact your SIM card vendor.This may be the service provider, network operator, or other vendor.To set the phone to show you the confirmation messages sent between your phone and thenetwork when you are using the SIM services, select Menu > Settings > Phone > ConfirmSIM service actions > Yes.Accessing these services may involve sending messages or making a phone call for whichyou may be charged.17. PC connectivityYou can send and receive e-mail, and access the Internet when your phone is connected to acompatible PC through an IR or a data cable (CA-42) connection. You can use your phonewith a variety of PC connectivity and data communications applications.■ Nokia PC SuiteWith Nokia PC Suite you can synchronize Contacts, Calendar, To-do list, and Notes betweenyour phone and the compatible PC or remote Internet server (network service).You may find more information about Nokia PC Suite, for example downloadable files, in thesupport area on the Nokia Web site at www.nokia.com/support.■ Packet data, HSCSD, and CSDWith your phone you can use packet data, high-speed circuit-switched data (HSCSD), andcircuit switched data (CSD, GSM data).For availability and subscription to data services, contact your network operatoror service provider.The use of HSCSD services consumes the phone battery faster than normal voice or datacalls. You may need to connect the phone to a charger for the duration of data transfer.See "Packet data," p. 35.■ Data communication applicationsFor information on using a data communication application, refer to the documentationprovided with it. Making or answering phone calls during a computer connection is notrecommended, as it might disrupt the operation. For better performance during data calls,place the phone on a stationary surface with the keypad facing down. Do not move the phoneby holding it in your hand during a data call.
