If youwant to save data on the remoteInternet server, to synchronize yourphone, start the synchronizationfrom your phone. To synchronize thedata in the phone contacts, calendar,and notes to correspond with thedata of your compatible PC, start thesynchronization from the PC. Thecontact data in your SIM card is notsynchronized.Answering an incoming call duringsynchronization ends thesynchronization, and you mustrestart it.Synchronize from yourphoneBefore synchronizing from yourphone, you must do the following:• Subscribe to a synchronizationservice. For details, contact yourservice provider.• Retrieve the synchronizationsettings from your serviceprovider. See "Synchronizationsettings", on page 52.To start the synchronization fromyour phone, do the following:1. Select the configuration settingsyou need for the synchronization.See "Synchronization settings",on page 52.2. Select Menu > Organiser >Sync > Server sync > Data to besynchronised. Mark the data tobe synchronized.3. Select Menu > Organiser >Sync > Server sync >Synchronise. The marked data ofthe active set is synchronizedafter confirmation.Synchronizing for the first time orafter an interrupted synchronizationmay take up to 30 minutes tocomplete, if the contacts or calendarare full.Synchronization settingsYou may receive the configurationsettings required for synchronizationas a configuration message from thenetwork operator or service provider.To manage the configurationsettings, see "Configuration", onpage 42.1.
