All rights reserved.Certificate not valid yet isshown even if thecertificate should be valid,check that the current dateand time in your device arecorrect.Before changing any certificatesettings, you must make sure thatyou really trust the owner of thecertificate and that the certificatereally belongs to the listed owner.There are three kinds of certificates:server certificates, authoritycertificates, and user certificates.You may receive these certificatesfrom your service provider. Authoritycertificates and user certificates mayalso be saved in the security moduleby the service provider.To view the list of the authority oruser certificates downloaded intoyour phone, select Menu > Web >Settings > Security settings >Authority certificates or Usercertificates.The security indicator isdisplayed during a connection, if thedata transmission between thephone and the content server isencrypted.The security icon does not indicatethat the data transmission betweenthe gateway and the content server(or place where the requestedresource is stored) is secure. Theservice provider secures the datatransmission between the gatewayand the content server.Digital signatureYou can make digital signatures withyour phone if your SIM card has asecurity module. Using the digitalsignature can be the same as signingyour name to a paper bill, contract,or other document.To make a digital signature, select alink on a page, for example, the titleof the book you want to buy and itsprice. The text to sign, which mayinclude the amount and date, isshown.Check that the header text is Readand that the digital signature iconis shown.If the digital signature icon does notappear, there is a security breach,and you should not enter anypersonal data such as your signingPIN.To sign the text, read all of the textfirst, and select Sign.The text may not fit within a singlescreen. Therefore, make sure to scrollthrough and read all of the textbefore signing.
