PTT provides directvoice communication. To connect to,press the PTT key.You can use PTT to have aconversation with one person orwith a group of people havingcompatible devices. When your callis connected, the person or groupyou are calling does not have toanswer the phone. The participantsshould confirm the reception of anycommunications where appropriate,as there is no other confirmationwhether the recipients have heardthe call.To check availability and costs, andto subscribe to the service, contactyour network operator or serviceprovider. Roaming services may bemore limited than for normal calls.Before you can use the PTT service,you must define the required PTTservice settings. See "PTT settings",on page 62.While you are connected to the PTTservice, you can use the otherfunctions of the phone. The PTT overcellular service is not connected totraditional voice communication,and therefore many of the servicesavailable for traditional voice calls(for example, voice mailbox) are notavailable for PTT over cellularcommunications.■ Push to talk menuSelect Menu > Push to talk.• To connect to or disconnect fromthe PTT service, select Switch PTTon or Switch PTT off.• To view the received callbackrequests, select Callback inbox.• To view the list of PTT groups,select Group list.• To view the list of contacts towhich you have added the PTTaddress received from the serviceprovider, select Contacts list.• To add a new PTT group to thephone, select Add group.• To set the PTT settings for use,select PTT settings.• To set the required settings forthe PTT connection, select Config.settings.• To open the browser and toconnect to the PTT networkportal provided by the serviceprovider, select Web.
