All rights reserved.Security settingsWhen security features that restrictcalls are in use (such as call barring,closed user group and fixed dialing)calls still may be possible to theofficial emergency numberprogrammed into your device.Security settings contains settingsfor access codes and other securityfeatures.Press Menu, and select Settings andSecurity settings. Select from thefollowing settings:• PIN code request to set the phoneto request your PIN code everytime the phone is switched on.Some SIM cards do not allow thePIN code request to be turned off.• Call barring service (networkservice) to restrict calls• Fixed dialling to restrict youroutgoing calls and text messagesto selected phone numbers if thisfunction is supported by your SIMcard.When fixed dialing is on, (E)GPRSconnections are not possibleexcept while sending textmessages over a (E)GPRSconnection. In this case, therecipient’s phone number and themessage centre number must beincluded on the fixed dialing list.• Closed user group (networkservice) to specify the group ofpeople whom you can call andwho can call you. For moreinformation contact yournetwork operator or serviceprovider.• Security level. Enter the securitycode, and select Phone to set thephone to ask for the security codewhenever a new SIM card isinserted into the phone.Select Memory to set the phoneto ask for the security code whenthe SIM card’s memory isselected, when you change thememory in use, or copy from onememory to another (”Copyingcontacts” on page 40).• Access codes to change thesecurity code, PIN code, PIN2code, or barring password.Restore factory settingsTo reset some of the menu settingsto their original values, press Menu,and select Settings and Restorefactory settings. Key in the securitycode and press OK.The data that you have keyed in ordownloaded is not deleted, forexample, the names and phonenumbers saved in Contacts.
