74Setting up your voice mailboxBefore you can retrieve any voice messages, you need tostore your voice mailbox number. Your service providerusually gives this number to you.When you’re ready to store your voice mailbox number,press Menu 01-2-2 (Messages - Voice messages -Voice mailbox number). Then enter your voice mailboxphone number and press OK. This number can be up to 32digits long and is used until it’s changed. So if your phonenumber changes, you may need to change your voicemailbox number along with it.Greetings, passwords, and promptsThese may vary in different wireless systems. So if youneed information about how to record your greeting orhow to store your password, contact your serviceprovider. You’ll also need to contact them on how tolisten to voice messages once you’re connected to yourvoice mailbox.Listening to your voice messagesIf New voice message is displayed, just press Listen andfollow the prompts. If you’d rather listen to yourmessages later, press Exit.You can listen to messages anytime if you press and holdthe 1 key (or press 1, then ). Calling voice mailboxwill appear on the display. Or if you prefer, you can accessyour voice mailbox by pressing Menu 01-2-1 (Messages -Voice messages - Listen to voice messages).VolumeYou can adjust the ringing volume and earpiece volumewith your phone.Earpiece volumeWhile in a phone call, you can adjust the listening volumefor your phone’s earpiece. The top scroll key increaseswhile the bottom one decreases the volume.75If an accessory like a headset or a car kit, or one with its ownloudspeaker, is connected to your phone, the scroll keys willadjust the volume for that accessory.Note: Using the scroll keys to adjust earpiece volume functions onlyduring phone calls.Ringing volumeThis is one of the settings in yourphone’s profiles (see page 55).
