Avoid prolonged charging with the RapidCigarette Lighter Charger (LCH-9) when the car engine isnot running; this may cause the battery of your car todrain. Note also that in some cars the cigarette lighterplug is not provided with electricity if the ignition is notswitched on.Compact Desktop Charging Stand (DCH-8)Used together with theStandard Travel Charger(ACP-7U) or the Rapid TravelCharger (ACP-9U), theCompact Desktop ChargingStand (DCH-8) is aneconomical choice when youneed your phone close at hand.With the battery still attached, place your phone in thecharging stand to begin charging your phone’s battery.Charging is indicated by the scrolling battery bars on theright side of your phone’s display. When the scrollingstops, the battery is approximately 80% charged.To get a fully charged battery, leave your phone in thecharging stand for a couple of hours after the scrollingstops.858. TroubleshootingWhat if charging fails?If your phone displays Not charging, charging issuspended. Make sure the battery is connected to anapproved charging device and that the battery is at roomtemperature. Extreme temperatures, hot or cold, canaffect your battery’s performance and prevent charging.If charging still fails, disconnect the charger from yourphone. Then reconnect the charger to your phone andretry. If you still experience charging problems, contactyour dealer and, if necessary, bring your phone in to haveit serviced. Also remember to bring in your battery andcharger.No serviceIf you’re outside the wireless service area, No service willdisplay on your phone. No calls can be made or received,including emergency calls.What if the call doesn’t go through?Your phone can make and receive calls only when it’sswitched on and in the wireless network’s service area.No service means that you’re probably outside thewireless service area.
