To use an IR connection, thedevice with which you want toestablish a connection must be IrDAcompliant.Do not point the IR (infrared) beamat anyone's eye or allow it tointerfere with other IR devices. Thisdevice is a Class 1 laser product.When sending or receiving data,ensure that the IR ports of thesending and receiving devices arepointing at each other and thatthere are no obstructions betweenthe devices.To activate the IR port of your phone,select Menu > Settings >Connectivity > Infrared.To deactivate the IR connection,select Menu > Settings >Connectivity > Infrared. When thephone displays Deactivate infrared?,select Yes.If data transfer is not started within2 minutes after the activation of theIR port, the connection is canceledand must be started again.IR connection indicatorWhen is shown continuously,the IR connection is activated, andyour phone is ready to send orreceive data through its IR port.When blinks, your phone istrying to connect to the otherdevice, or a connection has beenlost.Packet dataWCDMA and general packet radioservice (GPRS) are network servicesthat allow mobile phones to sendand receive data over an Internetprotocol protocol (IP) based network.WCDMA and GPRS are data bearersthat enable wireless access to datanetworks such as the Internet.Enhanced GPRS (EGPRS) is similar toGPRS but enables fasterconnections.
