This is an indication that themessage has been sent by your phone to the messagecenter number programmed into your phone. Contact Verizonfor more details about messaging services.■ TXT messagingWhen composing TXT messages (SMS) or enhanced messages(EMS, messages that can contain graphics, sounds orformatted text), the number of characters used (out of amaximum per message) appears in the top left corner of themessage screen. Segments are created when the messagelength exceeds the maximum allowed number of characters.The number of segments used (out of a maximum of 7) appearsin the top right corner of the message screen. No additionaltext can be entered when all segments and characters havebeen used. Segments are delivered as individual messages.
