All rights reserved.Installing applications• Open Application manager, scrollto the application, and selectOptions → Install to start theinstallation.• Alternatively, search the phonememory or the memory card,select the application, and pressto start the installation.Some applications may give theoption of partial installationallowing you to select the particularcomponents of an application thatyou want to install.If you are installing an applicationwithout a digital signature or acertificate, the phone warns you ofthe risks. Continue installation onlyif you are absolutely sure of theorigin and contents of theapplication.Installing Java™The .JAR file is required forinstallation. If it is missing, thephone may ask you to download it. Ifthere is no access point defined forApplication manager, you will beasked to select one. When you aredownloading the .JAR file, you mayneed to enter a user name andpassword to access the server. Youobtain these from the supplier ormanufacturer of the application.• To start a data connection and toview extra information about theapplication, scroll to it and selectOptions → Go to web address.• To start a data connection and tocheck if there is an updateavailable for the application,scroll to it and select Options →Update.Java settings• To change the default accesspoint that a Java application usesfor downloading extra data,select Options → Settings →Access point. See ”Access points”on page 80.• To change the security settingsthat determine the actions that aJava application is permitted todo, select Options → Settings.Note: Not all Javaapplications permit you tochange the securitysettings.Removing an application1. To remove an application, scrollto it and select Options →Remove.2. Press Yes to confirm the removal.
