Ifno mailboxes have been defined, youwill be prompted to do so. Thefollowing list of settings is shown(this information is available fromyour e-mail service provider):• Mailbox name - Write adescriptive name for the mailbox.• Access point in use (Must bedefined) - The Internet accesspoint (IAP) used for the mailbox.Choose an IAP from the list. See”Connection settings” on page77.• My e-mail address (Must bedefined) - Write the e-mailaddress given to you by yourservice provider. The addressmust contain the @ character.Replies to your messages are sentto this address.• Outgoing mail server: (Must bedefined) - Write the IP address orhost name of the computer thatsends your e-mail.• Send message (network service)- Define how e-mail is sent fromyour phone. Immediately - Aconnection to the mailbox isstarted immediately after youhave selected Send. During nextconn. - E-mail is sent when youconnect to your remote mailboxthe next time.• Send copy to self - Select Yes tosave a copy of the e-mail to theaddress defined in My e-mailaddress in your remote mailbox.• Include signature - Select Yes ifyou want to attach a signature toyour e-mail messages and tostart to write or edit a signaturetext.• User name: - Write your username, given to you by yourservice provider.• Password: - Write yourpassword. If you leave this fieldblank, you will be prompted forthe password when you try toconnect to your remote mailbox.• Incoming mail server: (Must bedefined) - The IP address or hostname of the computer thatreceives your e-mail.• Mailbox type: - Defines thee-mail protocol your remotemailbox service providerrecommends. The options arePOP3 and IMAP4.
