b) Nokia was not notified by Consumer of thealleged defect or malfunction of the Productduring the applicable limited warrantyperiod.c) The Product serial number or the accessorydate code has been removed, defaced oraltered.d) The defect or damage was caused bydefective function of the cellular system orby inadequate signal reception by theexternal antenna.e) The Product was used with or connected toaccessory not supplied by Nokia, not fit foruse with Nokia cellular phones or used inother than its intended use.f) The battery was short circuited or seals ofthe battery enclosure or cells are broken orshow evidence of tampering or the batterywas used in equipment other that for whichis has been specified.10. If a problem develops during the limited warrantyperiod, the Consumer should take the followingstep-by-step procedure:a) The Consumer shall return the Product to theplace of purchase for repair or replacementprocessing.b) If "a" is not convenient, the Consumer maycontact the local Nokia office for the locationof the nearest authorised service centre.c) The Consumer shall arrange for the Productto be delivered to the authorised servicecentre. Expenses related to removing theProduct from an installation are not coveredunder this limited warranty.d) The Consumer will be billed for any parts orlabor charges not covered by this limitedwarranty. The Consumer shall be responsiblefor expenses related to reinstallation of theProduct.e) In case of certain operator specific featuresin the Product such as SIM-lock, Nokiareserves the right to refer the Consumer tothe relevant cellular operator before servicewill be provided.f) If the Product is returned to Nokia after theexpiration of the warranty period, Nokia’snormal service policies shall apply and theConsumer will be charged accordingly.11. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ORFITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE, SHALLBE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE FOREGOINGWRITTEN WARRANTY. OTHERWISE, THE FOREGOINGWARRANTY IS THE PURCHASER’S SOLE ANDEXCLUSIVE REMEDY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERWARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. NOKIA SHALLNOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES OR A LOSS OF ANTICIPATED BENEFITS ORPROFITS, LOSS OR IMPAIRMENT OF PRIVACY OFCONVERSATIONS, WORK STOPPAGE OR LOSS ORIMPAIRMENT OF DATA ARISING OUT OF THE USE ORINABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT.12. The benefits conferred by this limited warranty arein addition to all other rights and remedies underany applicable mandatory legislation as may be inforce from country (area) to country (area).13. Nokia neither assumes nor authorises anyauthorised service centre or any person or entityto assume for it any other obligation or liabilitybeyond that which is expressly provided for in thislimited warranty.14. All warranty information, product features andspecifications are subject to change withoutnotice.15.
