The message profile sets are only displayed if your SIM card supportsmore than one set.• For message type e-mail, select E-mail server to save the e-mailserver number.OVERWRITE SETTINGSWhen the text message memory is full, the phone cannot receive or send any newmessages. However, you can set the phone to automatically replace old text messagesin the Inbox and Sent items folders with the new ones.Press Menu and select Messages, Message settings, Text messages, andOverwriting in sent items or Overwriting in inbox. Select Allowed to setthe phone to replace the old text messages with new ones in the Sent itemsor the Inbox folder, respectively.Writing and sending text messagesThe number of available characters and the current part number of a multipartmessage appear in the top right of the display.1 Press Menu, then select Messages, Text messages, and Create message.Tip: To quickly open the Create message menu in standby mode, move thejoystick to the left.2 Key in a message (see “Writing text” on page 31). To insert text templates ora picture into the message, see “Templates” on page 48.3 To send the message, press Options, and select Send.4 Enter the recipient’s phone number or search for the phone number in Contacts.5 Press OK to send the message.Options for sending a text messageAfter you have written a message, press Options, and select Sending options.• To send a message to several recipients, select Send to many. When you havesent the message to everyone you want to send it to, press Done.• To send a message using a distribution list, select Send to list.
