All rights reserved.Writing and sending textmessagesWithin the Messages menu you can write and send text messagesor save your own messages in the Outbox folder for later use.Note: Before sending a text message, make sure that thephone number of your message centre number is stored inthe phone (see “Message settings” on page 54). Contact yourservice provider for the message centre number.Writing and sending a text message1 Press Menu, then press Write.You can also start writing a message once you are in the Mes-sages menu, by first pressing Options, then rolling to WriteMessage and then pressing Navi Roller.2 Key in your message of up to 160 characters.For writing text messages you can use the traditional text inputindicated by or the predictive text input indicated by .For details, see “Writing text” on page 33.Tip: If you want to use one of the standard templates,press Options, roll to Insert Template and pressNavi Roller. Then roll to the template you want to use andpress Navi Roller.3 To send the message, press Options, roll to Send and pressOK. Then enter the phone number (or recall it from the phonebook) and press OK to send the message.The sent message is stored in the Outbox folder.The option list includes options for sending, saving, erasing the mes-sage you are writing.For sending the message, for example to a fax or an email address,see “Special sending options” on page 52.
